Tri North Lighting, Inc. is a Delaware corporation[1] based out of Silver Creek, New York, which specializes in energy efficient Fiber optic lighting, LED light bulbs and rope lights. The company incorporates fiber optic cable manufactured out of PMMA so the cable can be used for architectural and entertainment lighting. Some of the unique applications that Tri North Lighting specializes in are fiber optic star ceilings, chandeliers, cove lighting, swimming pool lighting and various other types of theatrical set lighting[2].
Fiber optic cable is typically used in telecommunications, but there is also a use for fiber optic cable for architectural lighting as well. This makes Tri North Lighting a very unique company because they are one of the few companies who specializes in this type of alternative lighting. The company works with a special fiber optic cable that is not made from glass, their cable is manufactured from a material called PMMA which is a hybrid between plastic and PVC. This makes the fiber optic cable very flexible and easy to bend without having to worry about the cable breaking.
Since there is no glass, heat or electricity in the cable itself, fiber optic lighting is the preferred and the safest way to light water, swimming pools and fountains since there is no electrocution hazard. You can also place the cable in places where you could never place traditional light bulbs can not be place because of heat and electrical concerns.
You will also find that many museums use fiber optic lighting as well for lighting sealed display cases where they display preserved documents. Most of the very old documents that museums preserve need to be in an environment that is air tight and has the temperature and humidity controlled. Fiber optic lighting is widely used and accepted in this situation because you can actually place cable inside the display case lighting it and you will not have any heat emitted from the cable itself.
Tri North Lighting also specializes in an alternative to neon lighting that utilizes light emitting diodes. This alternative form of neon lighting does have benefits such as no harmful gases, no glass to break and it is more energy efficient than traditional neon lighting. Some of the major world wide manufacturers they distribute products for are Philips Solid-State Lighting Solutions, Nexxus Lighting (Nexs), WDM Lighting [3], and Neo-Neon International unlimited. Tri North Lighting does also contract other various manufacturers for specific product lines that they market world wide.
Tri North Lighting is a source of information and their website has quite a few tutorials on how to use fiber optic lighting in various applications[4]. Tri North Lighting is also referenced by the Burning Man as a supplier of the energy efficient alternative to neon lights[5].
Tri North Lighting has been a member Better Business Bureau since March 1st, 2007.

December 8th, 2005- Tri North Lighting, Inc. teamed up with Super Vision International and Wide Loyal Industries to position the company with fiber optic and led lighting product lines.
December 18th, 2005- Tri North Lighting, Inc. announced an agreement was reached with Kerr Lighting from Smith Falls, Ontario, Canada to distribute low voltage retaining wall and paver light kits.
December 20th, 2005- Tri North Lighting, Inc. announced a new division dedicated to a Led light alternative for neon lights and have set up an alternative website at http://ledneonlight.com
March 1st, 2007- Tri North Lighting, Inc joined the Better Business Bureau
March 25th, 2007- President of the company Jeffrey Beach started his own personal blog sharing ideas about Tri North Lighting, Inc., product lines and the alternative lighting marketplace.
February 23rd, 2008- Tri North Lighting, Inc. distributes a press release announcing their fiber optic chandelier product line. They also announce that their business has been increasing 300-400% a year and gained recognition in the fiber optic and led light marketplace.
December 12th, 2008- Tri North Lighting, Inc. announced a new division dedicated to a Led Christmas lights and have set up an alternative website at http://ledchristmaslighting.com
December 15th, 2008- Tri North Lighting, Inc. starts to produce a lot of their own "DIY" Do it yourself videos so that people can understand how to properly use their materials. You can find those videos at http://ledsblog.com
