    My name is Randell. I am currently taking Wikipedia + Libraries: Better Together. It is my hope to learn much from this course and to eventually become an active editor and contributor to Wikipedia. Confession: I have a lot of irons in a big flaming pit and often am distracted to the point of forgetting such endeavors. 

    I serve the people of Floyd County Kentucky as the Adult Services Programmer and Teen Services Programmer at the Floyd County Public Library. Our services are apolitical (I am NOT) and for everyone. In an age of disconnection, our services are community centered. Our motto states Floyd County Public Library – Connecting, Supporting, and Re-Creating Community.

    I am native Appalachian and am known for my love of people. I graduated from Pikeville College (now known as University of Pikeville) with a BS in Elementary Education. I have always had service jobs: from Cake Decorating, News Paper Reporter, Bookmobile Librarian to wearing the many hats of my current position. 

    I am a post-modern renaissance man, possessing, knowing, and practicing several gifts and talents but master of none.  

Conflict of interest statement

    When I am editing Wikipedia as part of my official professional duties, I will strive to strictly abide by Wikipedia's accepted practices on conflicts of interest, neutrality, and notability.
