In the interest of full transparency, I chose "Bev at Success Academy" as my user name so my affiliation with Success Academy Charter Schools is abundantly clear to all parties. I am the only person who will use this account.

My professional background is in journalism: I was employed for 28 years at various daily newspapers, including 24 years at the New York Daily News, where I worked as a copy editor, copy desk chief and editorial writer and, along with two colleagues, won a Pulitzer Prize. I was also a New York City public school parent for 17 years.

My goal is to help improve the overall quality of Wikipedia's article on Success Academy Charter Schools while respecting Wikipedia's guidelines on conflict of interest and neutral point of view.
