The cube is tiled vertically in small an angle to the left. The other elements of the socle are identical rectangular cuboids. Its composition was designed to imitate the flag of the United States.[2][5][6] On the top right stone of the socle is placed inscription that reads "JERZY WASZYNGTON", which is Polish rendition traditionally used to refer to George Washington. Bellow it, are inscribed dates "1732" and "1799", which are respectively, Washington's date of birth and death.[7][8]
