I've frequently linked to wikipedia in the last 2 years on my blog at Livejournal. I've got some ideas of entries I'd like to contribute, in the categories of science fiction and history. My pattern has typically been to just wade into the thick of things on the internet, and learn as I make mistakes, but with this place, I'm more apt to try to learn the local customs before annoying the natives. Feedback is appreciated.
