Tourism in China has been hit hard by travel restrictions and fears of contagion, including a ban on both domestic and international tour groups. During the start of the pandemic in February 2020, more than 50 airline companies temporarily shut down or restrained flights heading to large cities in China, while several countries such as the United States and Australia have enforced travel restrictions established by the government. [1] Because Chinese tourism is viewed as one of the most significant factors to the country's economy, this has been negatively affected due to the Coronavirus.
