If you are here to ask my permission about potentially reverting one of my admin actions:

  • First and foremost, thank you for coming here to discuss it with me. I do appreciate the courtesy and I am not trying to make light of you being considerate. I am not on late at night or weekends (Japan time) as much as I used to be and I don't want you to suffer through a delay in my response during those times.
  • If you feel strongly that I have blocked a good faith editor in error please feel free to quickly reverse the block and feel free to tell the editor that you think I was wrong. I would rather err on the side of caution with good faith editors and you do not need to wait around to consult with me about the block.
  • If you are reviewing an unblock request from anyone I have blocked please feel free to make the decision on your own. Despite guidelines which indicate that a consultation with the blocking admin would be appropriate I feel that the system will be better served by you making an impartial decision on the unblock request. The only reason anyone should consult with me on an unblock request is if they truly don't understand the rationale for the block and they would like clarification.
  • Assume that I have no pride. While I do (have some pride, that is) you should feel safe to decide on your own whether something I have done is appropriate without any risk of hurting my feelings.
  • If I make an error, by all means call me out on it and leave a note on my talk page.
