Todd Blanche

Todd Blanche (born c. 1975) is an American lawyer and former prosecutor. He is representing former U.S. president Donald Trump in the 2024 New York criminal trial.

Early life and career[edit]

Blanche was born c. 1975.[1] He earned a bachelor's degree in political science and interdisciplinary studies from the American University School of Public Affairs.[2] In 1999, Blanche joined the office of the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York as a paralegal.[1] He worked there during the day and attended night classes at Brooklyn Law School.[1]

After completing law school, Blanche worked as a prosecutor in the Southern District including as a co-chief of its violent crimes unit and the White Plains, New York division.[2] He worked on cases including public corruption, racketeering, and bank and wire fraud.[2] Blanche later worked at WilmerHale.[2] From September 2017 to April 2023, Blanche was a partner at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft.[3] He represented clients including Igor Fruman and Paul Manafort during the latter's 2016 fraud trial.[2][4] He left the firm to found Blanche Law and represent former U.S. president Donald Trump.[4][2] He is representing the defendant in the 2024 criminal trial of former Trump.[2]

Personal life[edit]

Blanche married his wife at the age of twenty.[1] She is a medical doctor.[1] He completed two Ironman triathlons.[1] In 2023, Blanche was a registered Democrat in New York.[1] In 2024, he bought a home in Palm Beach County, Florida and registered as a Republican in Florida.[1]
