Source code tweak[edit]

User Jay D. Easy has come up with a useful tweak that would allow each entry in the source code to be written more naturally. Instead of:

* {{vad|align=left|Apr 12}}   [[Merano derailment|Merano derailment, Italy]]

it could be written simply as:

| Apr 12 = [[Merano derailment|Merano derailment, Italy]]

which is a lot neater and more WYSIWYG. Note that the template would render on the page in exactly the same way; this tweak is entirely 'under the bonnet/hood', and has already been adopted for the {{Aviation accidents and incidents}} template. Any objections to rolling it out here too? -- Deeday-UK (talk) 19:53, 10 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
