Goodbye for Now

Shouldn't the song "Goodbye for Now" by P.O.D. be included in her singles chronology cause she did participate in it.

The Matrix (album)

The Matrix (album) - why this album is removed from template? --SveroH (talk) 20:51, 16 September 2009 (UTC)

Because it will need to be under featured albums which is normally only listed on the discography article and not the template - sorryJagoperson (talk) 13:09, 10 April 2010 (UTC)

Goodbye For Now

Why isn't 'Goodbye for now; by 'P.O.D.' included as featured singles? The single did feature her vocals near the ending! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Maraqua22 (talkcontribs) 12:51, 24 December 2010 (UTC)

Because the song isn't a featured single. Yves (talk) 13:00, 24 December 2010 (UTC)

New EP

Okay guys, so with this new EP/re-release coming out, are we going to make a new section titled "Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection" then list the singles like the other ones OR are we going to incorporate it with "Teenage Dream" so its like "Teenage Dream/The Complete Confection"? Let me know what you think!--(CA)Giacobbe (talk) 22:17, 25 January 2012 (UTC)

MTV Unplugged

Shouldn't Katy's Live album made for MTV, "MTV Unplugged", be included in the template somewhere? Perhaps the layout should be revised upon the release of her live concert DVD to include a section for produced live material. --58.161.56.161 (talk) 08:54, 8 February 2012 (UTC)

Too many Teenage Dream singles

Maybe we could separate the "Teenage Dream" singles from the "Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection" singles? It's getting confusing now, it looks like she released all the album tracks as singles. Takeshimakojun (talkcontribs) 11:53, 15 September 2012 (UTC)

If I were to guess, I'd say that all of the tracks have articles because they were performed for the California Dreams Tour. Though it would be odd to do the sort of thing with "Teenage Dream" and not with "One of the Boys". A few of them (Peacock, Circle the Drain, Not Like the Movies) were released as promotional singles, but it can be hard to tell with the non-singles. Thesomeone987 (talk) 16:43, 20 April 2013 (UTC)

"Glee" and producers

I'm not convinced we need to list every producer who has ever worked with Katy Perry, otherwise every musician's navigational template would be filled with producers (as an example, this template doesn't have any producers listed). As for the Glee article, it seems notable to me here because the episode is a reference to her and because that article has her template on it. I'm not averse to its removal from the template, but it has been listed on it for ages (that alone isn't a reason for keeping it, of course).

This has been going on for about a week now, so I thought it was time for a discussion. Thanks. Acalamari 08:09, 18 April 2013 (UTC)

Your belief on the producers is fully understandable. While the "Glee" episode does contain references to Katy, it doesn't actually feature any physical, vocal, or digital appearance of her at all. The episode also has nothing to do with her career. We should apply the same logic to the "Glee" episodes as you do to the producers. Otherwise, we'd have multiple episodes of Glee listed and numerous producers. Thesomeone987 (talk) 16:43, 20 April 2013 (UTC)
Just realized I hadn't responded to this. Removing the Glee episode now makes sense, so thank you. I've also removed the two links to SNL; even if she starred in them, I see no need to link to two whole seasons of a television show in Katy Perry's template. Acalamari 13:05, 3 May 2013 (UTC)
  • I've just removed the two seasons of SNL again; they mostly have nothing to do with her and aren't worth linking to here. Acalamari 16:16, 30 September 2013 (UTC)
There is a huge misunderstanding here if you guys believe that an episode containing the artist's songs has not have had any effect on them @Acalamari:, @Thesomeone987:. The song's were included because of these two artists (Perry and Gaga in this case) and were totally devoted to be featured around them. They are teh sole reasons for these episdes to be conceived. Check episodes like "The Power of Madonna", "Theatricality" etc where the impact was not directly on the artists, but on their catalogue, the case here also. The songs charted on their own accord in US digital dowbload sales, and there are also commentary from artists about the episode. Also I believe that the dissertion that "episode also has nothing to do with her career" is a moot point since, they developed it around "them" only. The episodes should be kept in the navbox. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 13:48, 2 January 2014 (UTC)
One thing I can say for certain is that the episode "A Katy or a Gaga" definitely had more impact on the careers of people such as Demi Lovato and Adam Lambert since those two actually appeared in the episode (unlike Katy and Gaga themselves). If the two did actually appear in the episodes (be it cameo or longer), then it would be more suitable to include in their navboxes. The series also hasn't boosted either of their popularity ratings or anything. I would strongly recommend putting it instead in navboxes for people such as Demi and Adam. The same way it was reported that "Roar" and "Applause"'s digital sales increased. Believe it or not, an impact does not need to be "in your face" to be recognized. The very fact that these two artists were the core reasons for the episode being conceived is a far stronger reason for keeping the episodes in the navbox. —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 16:21, 2 January 2014 (UTC)
Sales increased..... according to which report(s)? Simply being the subject of an episode isn't really much of a reason to include it in the navbox unless the subject(s) did things like writing, directing, producing, or starring in it. I would include things like the Simpsons episodes, for example, since those actually feature each of these ladies themselves in an episode (be it physical appearance or guest voice acting).
