Linking Federal Subject Maps[edit]

The Russian version of this template has comprehensive map links - i.e a map of Russia with the Federal Subject highlighted in dark red and a detailed map of the federal subject showing the city location - While this has been done for some regions this has not been completed for all - please can somebody fix the following:

I've asked a person in ru_wiki to create these locator map templates. Once they are up in the en_wiki, I'll tweak this template to make sure they are displayed automatically in appropriate articles. Thanks!—Ëzhiki (Igels Hérissonovich Ïzhakoff-Amursky) • (yo?); 19:58, December 28, 2009 (UTC)

other_name not displayed anymore[edit]

Due to this edit, the other_name parameter in these 43 articles isn't displayed anymore. 89.166.104.253 (talk) 12:26, 20 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Ping Underlying lk, who did not provide an edit summary for that change. It appears that they made many edits as a result of this TFD discussion. – Jonesey95 (talk) 15:42, 20 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

embedded and prev_name1_ref do not work[edit]

@Underlying lk: you removed embedded in this revision and prev_name1_ref in this revision, which causes "unknown parameter" warning in some articles, e.g. in Veliky Novgorod. It looks like some other parameters should be used now, but I cannot guess which ones. Is there any way to fix this issue?

It looks like Underlying lk is not around. I have restored |embedded=. I don't know the history of |prev_name1=, but it looks like it has not displayed in this template for at least five years. It puts articles in Category:Russian inhabited locality articles with obsolete place names. – Jonesey95 (talk) 03:29, 17 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much, it seems to work now. I'll try to remove the remaining "unknown parameters" from that article. Alexschneider250 (talk) 21:44, 18 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
