Transsion Holdings[edit]

  • ... that in the fourth quarter of 2017, Transsion Holdings was the largest maker of smartphones in Africa, overtaking Samsung?
  • ALT1 ... that in the fourth quarter of 2017, Transsion Holdings had the largest market share for sales of smartphones in Africa, overtaking Samsung? Source: Quartz "And even though Samsung remains the top standalone smartphone product in Africa, when Transsion’s three smartphone brands (Itel, Tecno, and Infinix) are combined, research from technology advisory International Data Corporation shows the Chinese handset maker overtook the South Korean conglomerate for the first time in 2017, with a combined 30.4% market share compared to Samsung’s 27% in the fourth quarter."

  • It is interesting coming across an encyclopedic article on a company as compared to the promotional articles I come across when new page patrolling. This article is a five-fold expansion and is new enough and long enough. The ALT1 hook facts are cited inline, and more reflects the article and source than does ALT0. The article is neutral, and I detected no policy issues. A QPQ has been done. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 07:00, 18 January 2019 (UTC)
