  • Comment: I do apologize for submitting this past the deadline; I intended to nominate this on the 13th, but I was unable to do so as I was informed that my aunt had passed away that morning. :(

  • My condolences at your aunt's death. Thanks for adding the article anyway. Two days late is fine. QPQ done, photo in public domain. Article is long enough and inline-cited, no copyvio/close paraphrasing detected. Hook is reasonable interesting, allthough the boredom part is maybe bordering on trivia. It is sourced to an off-line source so I have to assume good faith (some part of it is verified in other sources I have checked). Just about short enough. As for the wording, "began her studies", it isn't totally optimal since she was already studying political science. I don't think we need to make a problem out of that, but I am proposing a light change of wording to "the studies"
  • ALT 1: "* ... that Lydia Yu-Jose (pictured), who was conferred the Order of the Rising Sun for her contributions to Japanese studies in the Philippines, began the studies out of boredom with her political science classes?
  • Good to go. Iselilja (talk) 21:33, 26 August 2014 (UTC)
