In terms of prose this article not only meets but far exceeds DYK requirements. While it technically has not been expanded 5x over the last 5 days, since you created it from a redirect and it has well over the 1500 words I'm willing to overlook that technicality. However the hook is kind of unclear; the "during September" statement is awkward. I suggest:
... that Hurricane Debbie in 1961 was one of the most powerful storms on record to strike Ireland in a September, producing wind gusts of up to 114 mph (183 km/h)?
- I can't seem to find the hook fact sourced in the article. Source 9 (MetEireann) doesn't mention that it was the strongest in September or in Ireland, only saying strongest "in places". The statement "A powerful tropical or extratropical cyclone, on September 16 Hurricane Debbie became one of the most intense storms on record to strike Ireland" is not sourced. Good luck at FAC!
