Evacuation of the Gibraltarian civilian population during World War II[edit]

Created/expanded by Ecemaml (talk). Nominated by Victuallers (talk) at 20:17, 4 September 2012 (UTC)

The prose portion of this article has been expanded from 5273 characters to 6432. That falls a long way short of the eligibility criterion 1b: "other articles in which the prose portion has been expanded fivefold or more within the past five days".
The hooks are interesting and article is now nicely-constructed, but it appears not to be eligible for DYK. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 23:12, 5 September 2012 (UTC)
Article length (6432) is fine, and so is age (moved to mainspace on 4 September). The online refs check out, so AGF on offline refs.
The first hook is slightly misleading, because it appears to imply that London was the destination for all evacuees. The ALT hook is more complete description of what happened, so it is preferable. Alternatively, I suggest ALT2 below, which is the original hook with an added number. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 07:32, 6 September 2012 (UTC)
