Banana Fish[edit]

  • that the appearance of Ash Lynx, the main character in the manga Banana Fish, is based on tennis player Stefan Edberg and actor River Phoenix? Source: Beaty, Bart. • Article has been expanded 5x recently; checked via script. I think the prose is good. Looks good according to Earwig's; only spike is due to a quotation that the article quotes & references properly.
I think it's okay that plot and character descriptions aren't completely referenced, given that these are subjects of the work itself. The section Side stories could perhaps have a reference? Assuming good faith on EBSCO reference, Japanese-language refs (Google Translate does ok), & quote from Volume 19. = paul2520 (talk) 20:39, 24 February 2018 (UTC)
I found this supporting source for the fact as well. ("Ash, whose character design was inspired by a combination of the tennis star Stefan Edberg and actor River Phoenix...") Morgan695 (talk) 04:24, 25 February 2018 (UTC)
