"Shivam"?[edit]

I see this at the top of the article: "It was theatrically (shivam) released on August 11, 2006 by Columbia Pictures. " I can't find any explanation for the "(shivam)" anywhere. Googling it comes up with a Telugu film by that name. Should this be in this article? I'm not a wikipedian, so I'm not gonna edit it in case it's just something I don't know about. Figured I'd put it in here for someone to look at, though. --68.13.206.246 (talk) 21:56, 25 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

POV criticisms[edit]

The two main problems I have with the film are:

  • The team is 100% Caucasian. Mutant kids of other races try out but are quickly rejected. This seems to be a bit racist.
  • Dr. Grant, confronted by a slowly-moving skunk, makes no attempt to move away from the critter or out of the line of fire, but holds still and allows himself to be sprayed. This seems incrdibly stupid. Who would behave like that in such a situation? Das Baz 19:37, 2 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Umm but Wikipedia is not a forum. They have said it multiply times before that this is not to be used a fourm to talk about the movie. It is to be used to find things out.

Try signing up for a blog or something.Dwyatt 101 21:07, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I doubt the movie is intentionally being racist --Coheed56 (talk) 06:56, 28 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Someone should finish the synopsis. And the ending went like this: Cindy is in Rapunzel, Tucker is on the soccor team, Summer is a cheerleader and is dating Dylan. They get calls on their beeper-like pagers, go to the top of a hill, meet Jack there, and are beamed up on the ship. Digi2500 23:24, 19 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Zoom bigposter.jpg[edit]

Image:Zoom bigposter.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Goofs[edit]

Is anything in the current goofs section reaaaally noteable enough for Wikipedia? Maybe for a fan page...at the very least, we need some clarity and 'time in movie' moments. Or a chapter noteation via the DVD. Lots42 (talk) 19:20, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

One of the "Goofs" isnt, but I didnt want to edit until someone else concurred. The whole thing about the shakes, well (althogh I hate admitting it) I am watching Zoom on On Demand right now. In that scene, while it is true only 4 drinks are on the tray, you can clearly see an employee bringing two more to the window, so by the time the movie switches to the second camera, the other two have been set down. No mystery here. Not Goof. Just someone not paying close enough attention.68.122.4.39 (talk) 03:20, 16 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Racism Allegations ????[edit]

This sentence keeps popping up "The other four prospective members shown auditioning are northwestern-European-Americans, highlighting the film's latent racism."

Now I am well aware that Hollywood has a tendency to White-Wash a cast but there are superior examples such as the Last Air-bender movie or Dragon Ball Evolution. Protogenxl (talk) 12:08, 16 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I think they could've chosen someone much, much younger than Tim allen. It just didn't work for me... No offence Tim Allen you did a great job! :) I hope they make a another movie. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.41.220.117 (talk) 19:01, 15 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
