The official name of the shrine is Zeniarai Benzaiten Ugafuku Jinja Shrine, as attested by the sign outside the shrine. I decided however to leave the article here because next to nobody uses the official name, and the official name is in the first line of the test anyway. I don't think it's all that important. If you have doubts about the shrine's official name, see the image Zeniarai Benzaiten Sign.jpg at Wikipedia Commons. It contains a photo of the shrine's sign with the official name in English, Kanji and hiragana.

Cleanup[edit]

This article is well-written, and compelling. If I saw this text in a travel guidebook, it would fit perfectly. But Wikipedia is not Wikitravel. An encyclopedia article should not begin with "...is the second most popular spot in Kamakura, Kanagawa prefecture after Tsurugaoka Hachiman-gū even though a visit means a 20-minute walk from Kamakura station." It should start with "...is a Shinto shrine in Kamakura, Japan, founded by Minamoto no Yoritomo in 1185, and dedicated to the deity Benten."

The focus should not be on the tourist - how long it takes to walk there, that they would be confused, or on why so many people go to visit it. The focus should be on the shrine itself - its history, its architecture and layout, etc. Tourist demographics (second most popular site in the city; 900,000 visitors a year) can be included, too, in that context of formal description of the demographics.
