Ouro Preto and Diamantina, very old cities?[edit]

Ouro Preto and Diamantina may be "very old cities" for Brazilians (they are early 18th century settlements), because Brazil is has a quite short history, but that's not how a Russian, coming from a country with a much longer history, would see them...

And what would the "mystical associations" of Ouro Preto and Diamantina be?
