  • "It was in accordance with this long standing tradition of the Church of the East, the mother of the late Metropolitan Mar Yosip Khnanishu, when conceived with her child, who was dedicated to the service of the Lord, exercised self denial by abstaining from all food prepared from animal meat or meat being one of the ingredients, until the time he was born in 1893. This article was clearly copied from somewhere else, and it can be a copyvio. I am still letting this hang here for the last month or so, but this article is nothing but a weird propaganda piece. Baristarim 05:39, 31 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There is too much here that is POV. It reads like a church-published devotional, not an encyclopedia.
I agree. this article must be renewable or deleted. Arthasfleo
I've taken a stab at removing all of the POV language and condensing the article into something more encyclopedic. Since there are no references given, I tried to remove any exceptional claims as well. Hope that's a good start on things. Shell babelfish 23:12, 18 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Saint?[edit]

I am unfamiliar with how (if at all) this church formally declares individuals as saints. Please indicate in the article how the subject came to be identified as one. John Carter 19:13, 13 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
