Verification[edit]

what sources, etc. are needed for verification and which items require verification? the talk page on the VFD has a ton of proof on it.

YTCracker made this whole darn article. Look at the history it was first made by "Rmk", and rmk is the name under which http://ytcracker.com wordpress posts are made. I'm not saying its not article worthy and should be VFDed, only that little of it is reliable (but such is the problem of wikipedia) 18.248.5.98 05:01, 1 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes this activity is generally frowned upon, however the article has 18 separate references from major news sources. I think that those references prove a majority of the article content is reliable. In order to remove the "needs better sources tag", each statement should be properly cited. --Mattarata 07:22, 4 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
no, rmk isnt me, and i didnt write the article, he did as an interested third party. rmk currently co-admins my bbs and also assists me with my new site. there are plenty of fans that write articles about people - rmk did this on his own volition. Ytcracker 08:27, 4 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You can have all the articles you want. You've contributed nothing colorful to the world, and since the majority of all edits on this page are from you or your friends, I personally feel it should be marked for deletion. CerpinTaxt 15:54, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Cerpin, YT is easily one of the top two or three nerdcore rappers out there. Granted that it's questionable that he created his own article, but if you see something wrong, it's probably more appropriate to correct it than to delete the whole article.--Rob T 12:19, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
CerpinTaxt, "You've contributed nothing colorful to the world." is purely your opinion and irrelevant to the existence of this article. Not only does it follow the requirements of proper sourcing of notoriety, but I can vouch for it being "colorful to the world" as some of his music is what convinced me to return to college and gain my Computer Sciences degree. As for RMK supposedly being a sockpuppet of YTCracker... I've met them both in real life, RMK lives in Ohio, and YTCracker lives in Colorado. You can't get much farther away in USA than that. --chozo_ninpo (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 12:18, 25 May 2009 (UTC).[reply]

Spamtec?[edit]

Should spamtec have their own article? I mean, if yt has one I don't see why not.

someone else would have to write it hahahahah Ytcracker 09:48, 28 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
most of the information on spamtec resides in this article, it would be tough to make a full one about it. Aerno 06:04, 14 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

http://www.myspace.com/nelly - Listen to "Grillz", at ~2:45 ytcracker kicks in... Wtf?

which is exactly why it beggars belief that this article was nominated for deletion twice. YTCracker is by far one of the best Nerdcore artists at the moment, and Nerdcore got a lot of press recently. The mind boggles why wikipedia has hundreds of pages detailling every pokemon's abilities, a 6yo children cartoon, yet pages like this one get deleted on a whim. For example the page of the Futuristic Sex Robotz, (http://www.futuristicsexrobotz.com/) has now been deleted yet the band is well known in the Nerdcore world. 82.43.161.8 18:05, 2 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
yeah but ytcracker isn't actually on the song, hahah--70.132.18.121 07:32, 9 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Anyone ever find out what his problem is with mc chris? --Delegado zero 22:48, 28 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In response to the above question: read mc chris' wiki page and things may be more clear. chris is a wannabe sellout opportunist that has repeatedly turned his back on his friends and fans in an attempt to garner more mainstream appeal. he has publicly denounced nerdcore and all nerdcore artists. 98.233.92.100 (talk) 16:08, 9 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Potential sources[edit]

I embedded many of the "publications about" section into the page and trimmed out the unreliable ones from the list. What remains of the list below should be integrated as inline citations rather than dumped on the page. WLU (t) (c) Wikipedia's rules:simple/complex 15:30, 25 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
