Categorization[edit]

Classifying X-Bomber as anime is misleading and incorrect, given that there is no animation involved. Unfortunately, Wikipedia appears to lack a Television Puppetry category, which is where this article technically belongs.Kouban 17:18, 24 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've added this to the Television Project. It was a good show and hopefully this will stimulate some new work on the article. Elaverick 17:29, 16 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Puppetry[edit]

"Terrahawks" wsa erroneousley referred to as using strings, like Thunderbirds. In fact, it used a muppet-style marrionette system, like Star Fleet. I have ammended the article to reflect this--Crais459 08:42, 27 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sources[edit]

I think this article would benefit from the addition of references to reliable sources. I'm struggling to find any, probably because this series pre-dates most online records, but if anyone knows of any reviews or other coverage from back then, this would be extremely helpful. If not then I guess some will be written following the re-release anyhow. Wiw8 (talk) 21:52, 7 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect[edit]

Worth putting in a redirect to this page for the English title as the Japanese title is not used here. Something like 'Star Fleet (TV series)'?

Al Matthews[edit]

Is there any actual source for Al Matthews providing the voices of Caliban and Professor Hagan? The SFXB page linked to has no mention of this, nor does Matthews' IMDB page. Optimus Sledge (talk) 15:30, 18 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

According to the Star Fleet Wiki, https://star-fleet.fandom.com/wiki/Al_Matthews, his participation was confirmed via email correspondence with the ADR director overseeing the dubbing of the show, Louis Elman. StolenEyes (talk) 14:35, 18 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Episode 18 Title[edit]

I have reverted the title of Episode 18 of the original Japanese version to its actual title as translated. Referring to it as "Commander Makara's Promotion!" is inaccurate, as this episode was not translated to English for Star Fleet in 1982. It was omitted from that version as it was yet another flashback episode, although a small amount of footage from the episode (Makara and Orion celebrating their victory) was incorporated into the previous episode of the UK dub. One home media release of the series does include other footage from the episode, but only in the original Japanese.StolenEyes (talk) 12:17, 22 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
