St Mary's or St Peter's?[edit]

I'm confused. In its list of Sceheduled Monuments Historic Scotland refers to St Mary's Chapel:

Wickham-Jones (2007) only mentions St Mary's and it is pretty clear from the OS that there is only one church building on the island. Haswell-Smith, Hamish (2004). The Scottish Islands. Edinburgh: Canongate. ISBN 978-1-84195-454-7. is kind enough to mention that the chapel "was dedicated to either St Mary or St Peter". Scran are happy with St Mary's and you might have thought Historic Scotland would attempt to be consistent. Ben Mac Dui 19:00, 5 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
