Is this article a big joke ??? Baylore 20:37, 11 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It was, but it is also the title of a real holiday. I've updated it. -- JLaTondre 19:35, 31 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Current Observance[edit]

The only information I could find referred to the three years listed in the article. I couldn't find whether this is an on-going holiday. If someonce can find a source about it's current status, that would be great. -- JLaTondre 19:35, 31 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes it is ongoing: 2002 http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2002/11/20021109-1.html 2003 http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2003/11/20031108-1.html 2004 http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2004/11/20041109-14.html 2005 http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2005/11/20051109-8.html —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 67.9.138.41 (talkcontribs) .

Thank you. I should have thought to search the www.whitehouse.gov site directly instead of relying soley Google. I've tweaked the wording and updated the links to point to the initial (2001) proclamation. -- JLaTondre 13:14, 18 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Is this the World Freedom Day ?[edit]

I remember that the World Freedom Day is January 23th in 1954 after the Korean War some POWs from PRC did not want to go back to China thay chosed Taiwan as their new home --61.230.50.82 (talk) 16:07, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
