Possibly unsupported statements[edit]

In my revision of this article, I included the following sentences, which were copied nearly verbatim from the previous version of the article:

The eventual goal of the project is to make available all English language works written or co-authored by women up to 1850. At present the focus is on works that are otherwise difficult to obtain.

I could not find documention for the specifics of these sentences on the WWP website (or elsewhere), but they seem to me to be both very reasonable and very much in the spirit of the project, so I left them in. — Nowhither 10:17, 13 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Adding sources outside WWP and WWO institution sites[edit]

I edited this for a course in Digital Writing with instruction and guidance from WikiEdu modules. I added peer-reviewed sources from journal articles and books to strengthen the claims in the page. I removed "Northeastern University" and "Brown University" from the title of the project in the lead and body sections of the page since it is mentioned thoroughly in the article where the project originated, moved to, and resides. I added a "Digital Tools" section that I hope will be expanded so that scholars, educators, and researchers in digital humanities can see some of the technologies the project uses. This seems appropriate to explain in conjunction with listing additional resources and outreach by the project in the following section titled "Resources and outreach."

A lot of the article was plagiarized when I started working on it in mid-October, so I revised the wording to avoid plagiarism and added citations where necessary. Some citations are still needed for claims made in the article, and I hope to expand on this in the next few weeks.
