What's the music behind the S.A.T.A. creation montage? --Paul 04:57, 22 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Nobody has added anything to the article regarding the rival talent agency. Apparently they're a large company. Did Matt and Trey have issues with them?

Wait wait wait[edit]

Wing... was singing.. she was actually doing the singing? This has to be a joke, the singing was obviously Trey Parker doing falsetto and singing in an unflattering fake Chinese accent as screechy and off-key as possible.. There's no way in hell that wasn't Parker. It's identical to 'Ms. Lopez' voice.

No, that is how Wing sounds.74.8.133.98 16:31, 6 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I am afraid that is true! As a gift for you, here. knock yourself out! --Dyaa (talk) 00:01, 9 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Abraham Lincoln dead?[edit]

I don't think the "200 years" quote should be considered a goof. It's an example of every-day speech. No one really keeps track of how long people have been dead, so he rounded up. Yes, rounding 140 would give you 100 or even 150, but 200 is an acceptable estimate. It can also be considered exaggeration or his own ignorance as a child. Either way, I think it was done on purpose by the writers, and "goofs" are unintentional. Mac OS X 01:33, 23 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Cultural References and Original Research[edit]

Any cites for these?

  • The full address to Cartman's house is revealed to be 93345 Ave. de los Mexicanos. However, in "Jakovasaurs", Jakov found a backpack which indicated that Cartman lives at 21208 E. Bonanza Circle.
  • In this episode, Kyle and Cartman both wield Heckler & Koch G36 assault rifles (which are drawn in the bullpup configuration).
  • On this episode's commentary, Trey Parker and Matt Stone were convinced to do a show about Wing when a friend led them to her site, and then listened to her new CD of AC/DC covers. They then continued to listen to more of her music whenever they were frustrated or stuck on an idea. They also said in the commentary that the whole idea of this singer Wing (and especially her covers of AC/DC) were either a "super sweet joke" or a "super sweet not joke".
  • Wing's only request of allowing them to use her in the show was that she had to approve her drawing (Though, as Parker and Stone have said, Asian characters in South Park are not drawn very flatteringly and are basically just always closing their eyes).
  • In this episode, Token sings "You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine" by Lou Rawls. The singing voice of Token is not performed by Adrien Beard, but is a sped-up version of Lou Rawls singing the song, sped up the exact same way as when the main characters' voices are sped up.[1]. Cartman also sang the song in "Fat Camp".
  • There are several references to the 1983 film Scarface in the latter stages of the episode. The entrance to the Chinese Mafia's mansion resembles the Coral Gables mansion that Tony Montana resides in. When Kenny dies, Kyle holds him and comforts him, much like Tony does to his sister after she is shot dead. Also, Cartman utters the words "You want to play rough? Okay" which, in the film, precede the infamous line "Say hello to my little friend".
  • Cartman twice pretends to take a phone call from famous people to impress others and to prove his agency is legit. The first time, he pretends the phone call is from Abraham Lincoln. The second time, he pretends the call is from Colonel Sanders from Kentucky Fried Chicken. Cartman does not know that Abraham Lincoln and Colonel Sanders are dead, much to the disdain of Kyle.
  • A poster for the Bill Cosby vehicle Ghost Dad is visible in Cartman's basement.
  • When Wing is singing she sings ABBA songs that include "Dancing Queen" and "Fernando", as well as The Carpenters' song "Sing".
  • The leader of the Chinese mafia strongly resembles Kenji Kasen from Grand Theft Auto III, except Kenji is the leader of the Japanese mafia Yakuza.
  • On the coffee table in the basement office there's a magazine titled Vague, a reference to Vogue magazine.
  • When Sylvester Stallone asks for Wing to sing at his son's wedding, the boys rejoice and sing "Who Let the Dogs Out?" by Baha Men.
  • An E.T. poster (labelled "I.T.") can be seen in Cartman's basement.
  • Kenny is shot multiple times by a mafia member just before Kyle tells him to leave. Unlike before, his death moves Kyle to tears and he also hugs the dead body. "You didn't die for nothing. We're gonna get Wing back as our client and... and make a ton of money! I swear it to you!" He goes back to Stan and Cartman shooting at the Tongs and shouts, "They killed Kenny!" Stan shouts back, "Bastards!"

Once cited, they can be blended back into the main article. Alastairward (talk) 13:36, 14 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I also noticed the plot is completely based on original research. Shouldn't we take it out until someone finds a reliable source that this actually is the plot? Obviously, we should add citation needed to the title, because we're not sure this really is the name of the episode are we? Joepnl (talk) 01:04, 15 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
