Comments[edit]

I'll review this one over the next few days. --Coemgenus (talk) 14:24, 24 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Lede
  • The lede is a little short. Maybe summarize what he did in office and add that?
  • Also might be good to mention his political party.
Early career
  • "...O'Donnell introduced legislation in 1958 establishing the office of Milwaukee County Executive." It would be useful to explain how this new government differed from the old, and why the change was made.
  • There's a pretty big jump in time from 1964 to 1975. What did O'Donnell do in the years in between?
  • Are elections there non-partisan? If not, mention the candidates' parties.
  • Some personal details would round this out. Was he married? Any children?
Tenure as County Executive
  • "... O'Donnell backed another supervisor's unsuccessful bid to unseat Ament from the board chairmanship" Was he successful?
  • "Schulz waged a vigorous campaign and defeated O'Donnell in the April 1988 general election." The vote totals or percentages would add some needed details here.
  • "Following his defeat, O'Donnell lived in retirement until his death..." Was he involved in politics at all after 1988? Ever mentioned in the newspapers or anything?
Images
  • Are there any free or possibly fair-use pictures of him?

There's been no improvement in a week, so I'm going to fail this one. --Coemgenus (talk) 13:52, 6 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
