"Bill Cleaver (novel)"

The authors of the book were Vera and Bill Cleaver, so listed by the National Book Foundation: "National Book Awards – 1970". National Book Foundation. Retrieved 2012-02-07. (Select 1970, 1971, or 1974 from the top left menu.); also on one front cover displayed by Amazon.com.

Perhaps the infobox should list Earl Hamner, Jr. whom we credit for a "Teleplay". --P64 (talk) 19:51, 8 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Review[edit]

I am not sure who thoroughly read the book prior to its review or the movie, but...the only Luther family member who lived with Kaiser was Devola after their wedding. Mary Call, Romey and Ima Dean stayed in their home on the mountain, with cooking and cleaning now added to the daily chores. The film adaptation was fairly consistent with the book...some areas where a bit enhanced which is not unusual. I have the movie and the book, as well as a second book "Trial Valley," which further fleshed out the family story, though not as well written as the primary book. 8.40.197.184 (talk) 17:59, 14 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
