They may have built a new gymnasium but there was one there before it became a prison. I attended a small township school in the area that didn't have a full size gym. We played our 'home' games at this facility in the 1960's. 173.30.167.198 (talk) 18:58, 17 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Drug trafficking is still being done by staff, admittedly by a counselor at the facility as of 2021, officers, nursing staff and other staff members are in violation of inhumane practices and treatment of inmates[edit]

WASTEVILLE correctional facility is condemned. Every single year they just pay the fines and continue to run a CONDEMNED facility.. officers use other inmates as intimidation towards inmates they have personal issues with. A inmate was thrown down stairs by officers recently and died . This was covered up. Also inmates injured or suffering from serious illnesses are ignored and left untreated. Housing is non livable conditions and food is rancid. Inmates are being put in positions of authority over other inmates and abusing it by frivolous write ups.. that's right..inmates are acting as correctional officers. Millions in federal funds are being paid to build a suitable facility in place of the CONDEMNED one and nothing is being used to actually build. Where are the funds going?? Why isn't WASTEVILLE being investigated? Who's NOT doing their job?? This is unacceptable by every moral code to rehabilitate the offenders in order to return to society as adjusted citizens.. most all of the inmates sit in idle dorms that allow for them to be preyed upon by the violent offenders, while officers look the other way.
