Clean up[edit]

What about a section talking about the history of the mall? I don't know much about this place but I know that it once used to be a mall serving primarily office workers and featuring mostly services relating to the WTC, and then in the 1990's, apparel chain stores and other specialty stores were added to create a more traditional shopping mall.

First off, after glancing at the article, I noticed that there is hardly any substansial information. I did not learn anything from this artile.

Also, if possible, perhaps a photo of the mall (before its collapse, of course).

I fixed up the list about the stores mention in the film World Trade Center, but is that really necessary? It might be to some I suppose, but it almost feels unimportant.

Agreed as well. I generally dislike long store lists in mall articles, and this one's not even complete. Note the appearance of "Strawberry" on the map and in the photo, but no mention in the list. After searching for a pre-9/11 mall picture, the only one I could find was this one on flickr. (http://www.flickr.com/photos/jghawley/253844524/) I'm not familiar with Wikipedia copyright guidelines, but is there anyway we can use this under 'fair-use' or something similar?Spilla 09:24, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've been gone... but it looks like you found a mall map. The photo would also be a good addition to the article (it would be best to place it near to middle to bottom of the article), but as far as I know (and I may be wrong) I do not believe there is any "fair-use" license for photos. Your best bet is to contact the person who took the photograph (which shouldn't be too hard since they have a flickr account) and ask them if they could either release the photo to public domian or upload it themselves to Wikipedia under the GNU Free Documentation License or someting such as that.--Renegade Replicant|^{leave me a message} 03:31, 6 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Some articles linked to this one suggest that the WTC Mall was underground. This article states that it was located in the concourse area of the WTC. The link to the Wiki article 'concourse' is extremely vauge. The text that suggests that this area was connected to the lobby of the south tower suggests in my minds eye that this was above ground because the lobbys were located at street level. Split proposal[edit]

Support, per nom: I would like to propose splitting the content in this article pertaining to the Westfield WTC into its own separate article of the same name (Westfield World Trade Center), while reverting this article to its previous name, Mall at the World Trade Center. This article was originally about the shopping mall previously located on the same site – however, the article has been repurposed into an article about the Westfield WTC rather than the original shopping mall. Oppose, as it is unnecessary. Why do we need to split the new mall's history off when the old mall's history could be split instead? And why do we need two separate articles? This is still about the history of the mall. epicgenius (talk) 00:56, 3 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
