OK, my memory is bad. Is this correct? "The rotation of Westerns has since cycled bi-annually between the four provinces in its original sequence, except for the seventh session, which came after a two-year hiatus." I thought it rotated every year? (j-beda 18:13, 7 March 2006 (UTC))[reply]

Does anyone want to tackle a NYP/PJC page (assuming anyone is reading this)? I am fine for doing edits, but I'm a bit chicken to actually create a new entry... (j-beda 18:15, 7 March 2006 (UTC))[reply]

AFAIK it has always been a bi-annual event.

I have been considering tackling a NYP/PJC page, given that I have been the one nerdy enough to be constantly updating these (and creating a couple of them), but that'll be real work because it's harder to plagerize myself, because anything I've written on the topic previously is not in electronic form. It's coming.

Whadda you mean "a bit chicken to actually create a new entry"?? I see you went and created an entry for the OYP. Now I've got to go and do work on that!

I've created a NYP/PJC page; however, you'll see I used the "YPC/PJC" abbreviation, because the English name used by the "lower house" was "Youth Parliament of Canada".Fluit 05:26, 19 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

WCYP Defunct as of 2019[edit]

Hi there. Not sure if this will be seen by anyone but... I'm a member of the Youth Parliament of Manitoba, and I can report that as of I believe 2019, WCYP has been dissolved and re-founded as the "Canada Youth Parliament". this was done via an act passed by the four member parliaments' boards (YPM, SYP, TUXIS, and BCYP) and motions passed by their memberships. If I can find some sources to back that up I might try to update this as such (the respective documents I believe are uploaded to YPM's website), in which case I suppose the appropriate thing to do would be to also create a new article for CYP? (I'm rather new to Wikipedia so not entirely sure... please advise if you are familiar with this sort of procedure) Kindly, PearsonSingbeil (talk) 19:27, 21 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I added an infobox which includes that the org. has dissolved (cited) and that its successor is CYP. PearsonSingbeil (talk) 06:10, 22 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
