Requested move 8 September 2017[edit]

The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: Moved to Weekly Shonen Jump (American magazine). There is consensus that "(magazine)" is imprecise, and both "American magazine" and "online magazine" are reasonable disambiguators, so a coin toss decided. Incoming links fixed, and Weekly Shonen Jump (magazine) redirected to the other one. No such user (talk) 15:33, 21 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Weekly Shonen Jump (magazine) → ? – Weekly Shonen Jump and Weekly Shōnen Jump are both magazines according to their respective articles and thus fails WP:PRECISION. Parentheticals such as (Viz) or (North America) could be used and please suggest them below, but (magazine) is extraordinarily imprecise because there are two subjects that can be described with the same title that this article has now. Additionally, another option would be to rename to Weekly Shonen Jump, without the macron. 93 14:59, 8 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I redirected all incoming links to Weekly Shonen Jump (American magazine), and an admin will move the page soon. I'm not sure where to redirect Weekly Shonen Jump (magazine) – maybe Shonen Jump (disambiguation) is the best target? No such user (talk) 16:00, 21 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Shouldn't this have been closed by someone who had the tools to move the pages instead of someone who doesn't? —Farix (t | c) 20:26, 21 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
 Done WP:RM/TR sent and fulfilled. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 22:02, 21 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Probably yes, but I discovered that it was move-protected due to old vandalism only after I closed the RM and fixed all the links. RM backlog is pretty long now, I'm helping clear it up. No such user (talk) 06:59, 22 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Magazine still continues to be distributed today[edit]

Hi everyone. I think that what this article says that the magazine is done publishing digitally is wrong. I know that it is still being distributed today. Mostly because of the pirated copies of it throughout the Internet and the Manga Plus by Shueisha app that offers its English chapters for free. Could someone please either explain to me why is it this way or correct the article instead? Thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 181.1.220.13 (talk) 12:56, 13 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
