Let's talk about categorization[edit]

I notice that that this and several other bridges are beset with many different views on how they should be categorized. The issue of category duplications has been discussed for many months at Wikipedia_talk:Categorization. Controversy about naming the bridge[edit]

When the new "Gloucester City Bridge" was under construction there was a considerable amount of controversy about naming it after the famous poet Walt Whitman. Although Whitman's stature as arguably the most celebrated poet in American history wasn't questioned, there was a great deal of objection by various Roman Catholic organizations about honoring a man who may have been homosexual. The Delaware Port Authority, backed by a coalition of educators, stuck to their guns.
