People[edit]

I don't regard it as encyclopaedic just to list people whose surname happens to be Wain. Why not wainright? Or in their respective topics Smith, Schumacher, Farmer, etc. Propose delete this section. SimonTrew (talk) 04:23, 2 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Moved to Wain (name). ENeville (talk) 01:59, 30 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

On stubs[edit]

Here's a chance to write something that nobody will read: a general complaint on stubs in the talk section of the article on Wains. Yeah. Wow.

Anyway, my beef is this: if there is exactly one paragraph worth of relevant information on a topic, as is the case with wains, is it really a stub?

I suppose there could be a section on the history of wains, their engineering, etc. I guess you just need to have an imagination. Perhaps there's a whole body on wainlore out there.

But I doubt it, and I doubt it's useful to anyone. I now know what a wain is. Case closed, was this really a stub? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Michael J. Chapman (talkcontribs) 22:08, 13 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Merger proposal|date=February 2013[edit]

Wain and wagon are synonyms so I propose to merge this article into wagon. Jim Derby (talk) 18:15, 11 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
