"Evokes memories of an era of romance and fairytale"[edit]

This poem was originally added in this edit by Weedu (talk · contribs) in May 2008. The editor tried to add the source, http://www.waheedmurad.blogspot.co.uk/, but was reverted by XLinkBot (talk · contribs). Whether or not the source is stated in the Wikipedia article, I think it is a violation of copyright to have the whole poem copied here. -- John of Reading (talk) 10:38, 3 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

In addition, it's not clear to me why the poem belongs in an encyclopedia. It's attributed to "Saeed A. Khan Hoti" - is this a well-known figure? -- John of Reading (talk) 21:06, 5 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Definitely a copyvio to have an entire poem like this, without the author of the poem explicitly releasing it under one of the free licenses. But even then, as John of Reading pointed out, would be the question of whether or not it's encyclopedic. But, due solely to the issue of copyvio, I'm going ahea and deleting it. -Seidenstud (talk) 19:45, 6 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
The poem has been restored three times now. Since three different IP addresses are shown in the history, I suspect that any messages left at the IP talk pages have not been seen. Here, then, is an extra copy of the most recent message:

I hope that helps to clarify the issue. -- John of Reading (talk) 15:51, 9 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

External links modified[edit]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to 2 external links on Waheed Murad. Please take a moment to review my edit. Removal of reliable citations[edit]

I have added sources which are reliable and trying to improve article. So please do not remove references. I have provided a reliable source that the actor was also known as Chocolate Hero. Other names and alias are not violation.WaheedMF (talk) 18:56, 14 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

That's not the problem. I don't much care about his aliases. Your "reliable source" is a puff piece about the actor. The material you added is: "He was known for his facial expressions, on-screen personality, tender voice and talent for acting in his films." The material in the source says: "he was famous for his charming expressions, attractive personality, tender voice and unusual talent for acting." That constitutes close paraphrasing. You have previously been warned for copyright infringement, and by doing this again, you risk being blocked. Finally, it is completely promotional fan magazine material and does not belong in an article on this project. I am reverting you and warning you that any more material that you want to add to the article should be brought to this Talk page and you must obtain a clear consensus for adding it. Your sole purpose here is to add promotional material to the article. Your username says it all.--Bbb23 (talk) 19:31, 14 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Bbb23To me you sound like a person whose sole purpose is to bully others. Out of your anger you even forgot that alias are not the violation of any policy. Dude you seriously need help. And it is interesting that you remained block for being a sock puppet and threatening me to block despite I haven't violated any policy. Good luck.WaheedMF (talk) 19:48, 14 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Added two sources for the other name of the actor. Now it is not promotion. A referenced fact is added.WaheedMF (talk) 20:27, 14 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Seemed okay to me. I just did a little stylistic fixing.--Bbb23 (talk) 20:32, 14 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Bbb23 I have added some sourced material in my words.WaheedMF (talk) 20:55, 14 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of Sourced material and adding Indian word in the Wikipedia[edit]

An editor who previously remained blocked for edit warring is continuously removing referenced information which is verified through reliable sources and adding name India in the article again and again. This editor should give some logical explanation for this before indulging in edit war. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 111.119.178.171 (talk) 18:25, 16 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@111.119.178.171: Uncommon words such as "subcontinent" have to be wikilinked not everyone understands what they mean, I did not even directly link it. I have not changed anything and merely rearranged paras per the standard wiki layout. You should read WP:MOS than throw baseless accusations of blocking/edit warring which have nothing to do with your reverts or my edits. Gotitbro (talk) 18:30, 16 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Gotitbro You remained blocked for edit war and you try to include the word Indian in every article. Being an Indian please feel free to open a fan site for India but do not revert sourced information mindlessly. It is not Indian subcontinent and you must explain why you are removing referenced information? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 111.119.178.171 (talk) 18:36, 16 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
You have still not explained why you are disrupting the whole layout of the page for your issue with a specific word. My edits were simply a cleanup (ce in edit summary) and I did not remove a single word/reference from the article which you falsely claimed in you edit summary. Do read WP:LAYOUT, WP:MOS on how article are supposed to be presented. As per your issue with wikilinking "Indian subcontinent" with the word subcontinent that was done as it is an uncommon and ambiguous term which is standard practice, I did not even directly link it, not even sure what your issue is here. And keep your WP:PERSONALATTACKS aside. Gotitbro (talk) 18:55, 16 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Revision of the article[edit]

Some sectons of the article need to be rewritten as they simply copy/past the source. I have rewritten the category, "Death". Insight 3 (talk) 12:09, 20 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
