Merge proposal[edit]

In order for this type of articles to be of encyclopedic value, it is good to treat similar subjects. In this case it is interesting to discuss how different British nationalities are treated and I therefore propose to merge it into Visa requirements for British nationals; the title covers that category; however it has not been implemented. Right of abode in the UK[edit]

I don't think there is such a thing as BOCs with ROA. Such people would have been BCs on 1 Jan 1983 (BNA 1981) and I don't think ROA was given out after that. This probably refers to BOCs with right of readmission to the UK (indefinite leave to enter and/or remain).

Agree and edited article accordingly. The image needs to be edited too, and the UK & Islands should be coloured yellow as BOCs have no automatic right to reside there. Andrew Yong (talk) 02:08, 20 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

=Shengen Visa Requirements[edit]

I do not believe this article was correct (Edit: i removed the shengen visa free and the map to avoid confusing people), as this probably refers to British Citizenship forms that have right of abode in the UK. Last I Checked (5 minutes ago) BOC had no access to Shengen countries as such, unless a source for this has been stated and verified, it is not true. So apologies for changing it.

Edit - Check again, it seems there's a new resolution number 509/2014 which addresses this point. So returned it to its original form. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ralphchahine1980 (talkcontribs) 15:22, 9 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
