Rex Thomas Vinson is apparently dead. A web search turned up some records from Locus SF mag, described as 'obituary'. Elsewhere there was a death date of 2000.

I was looking for info on this author because for 25 years now I have held this author as unsurpassed. Somehow something in these books resonate with me. I am sadly disappointed that in this age of communication I have missed the opportunity to convey my gratitude and awe.
