1936 painting[edit]

Is the first Vigil of the Princes painting able to be sourced (and image) and added to this? TheCorriynial (talk) 19:09, 16 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Something historical?[edit]

No source for this. But, the Viscount Severn might be the youngest person ever, to stand vigil at a lying in state, at Westminster Hall. Indeed, his uncle (the king) might be the oldest royal, to do so. GoodDay (talk) 01:29, 17 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The Caption on the photo is wrong[edit]

Indeed, Andrew's standing at the end where the late Queen's feet would be pointing. The casket was carried into Westminster Hall, feet first. Note where the cross is placed, at the head of the casket. GoodDay (talk) 04:31, 18 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Relief of Guards[edit]

Quite correct. In 2002, the Queen Mother's grandchildren replaced the guards & stood at the corners. This wasn't the case for the Queen's children in 2022. They stood between the guards. I believe King Charles III stood at the end, where Elizabeth II's head (note the placing of the cross) was pointing. Prince Andrew, where her feet were pointing.
