Politically motivated changes[edit]

The articles about Valery Tsepkalo on Wikipedia are under attack after he announced his candidacy for Belarus presidency. The pro-regime internet trolls post libelious information and alter existing sections in a politicaly motivated act of vandalism. Their main focus is on the Russian version of the article where their actions have already been noted and opposed by the community. Recently they have also made discrediting changes to the English version as well. I am kindly asking administrators and the community to jointly prevent authoritarian political systems from turning Wikipedia into an instrument of their propaganda. Vodka[edit]

According to rule about biographies of living persons, I propose the deletion of the chapter as it violates the privacy of the person.--Fovana76 (talk) 20:16, 1 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Just because the ‘Chagall Vodka’ topic was not published in mass media it is not appropriate to insert such the section in the biography WP:BLP. -- Yury.vait (talk) 16:12, 2 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Diplomatic and Political Career[edit]

The membership in any Russian Party was impossible for Tsepkalo as he was a citizen of the Republic of Belarus then and according to the Russian legislation, he could not be an affiliate of any political entity in Russia.-- Fovana76 (talk) 20:40, 1 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Website Dev.by vs Tsepkalo[edit]

Negative statements about Tsepkalo are mostly referenced to website Dev.by or are associated directly with Dev.by in the text. It looks like a personal vendetta and those, who do it, turn Wikipedia into a source of gossip and personal insults. Some of these publications are on the verge of legal admissibility. Recently there is a clear correlation between some statements made by power people in Belarus in relation to V.Tsepkalo and immediate publications by dev.by. And it is difficult for English-speaking readers to independently draw conclusions in relation to these materials since the references are only in Russian. I propose either to exclude such the materials or dedicate a separate section to those "relations" between Tsepkalo and dev.by. -- Yury.vait (talk) 16:12, 2 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
