Natural nobility[edit]

Her response to her husband's infidelity was characteristic of a truly noble, lofty, exalted character. Was this evidenced in other aspects of her life?Lestrade (talk) 21:06, 8 January 2008 (UTC)Lestrade[reply]

Birth year[edit]

I wonder about her age. She looks to be 21 or so in Bride of Frankenstein (1935) and Werewolf of London (also 1935), but if she was really born in 1917, she would have been just 18 years old and playing the wife of much older men. Colin Clive in Bride was 17 years older, as was the man who was supposedly her childhood playmate in Werewolf. Henry Hull, her husband in Werewolf, was 27 years older! --Tysto (talk) 23:33, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Valerie was indeed born in 1917, and was 17 during the filming of Bride of Frankenstein. This was reflected in her salary for the film, which was only $800. Crisso (talk) 00:17, 30 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
