Removed from article[edit]

Just in case this was a serious attempt at editing this article (and I have my doubts):

== Heroic Saves By FL-TF1 ==
On September 3rd, 1994 911 Florida received a distress call from Mrs Jay Kilepons of Florida. She said she was "Lost in a forest, Unable to make her way around." (Investigation later found out that she had a broken ankle.) The operator sent a full Unit, later finding out that it did not work. So she later contacted FEMA Urban Search and Rescue Task Force 1, Florida. And in 15 minutes of calling the team, They later stated that they had found her.

This sounds uninformed, mean spirited, not notable, and certainly not a heroic save. It's hard to assume good faith when something like this is placed in an article by an unregistered user. MoodyGroove 17:50, 19 April 2007 (UTC)MoodyGroove[reply]

Edits conducted 9 April 2024[edit]

Here are the edits I did to this wiki-page:

miamidade.gov as a Reliable Source[edit]

I did notice that this Wikipedia page wasn't touched in a long time. I did clean the page up a bit as it seems most was just copy/paste from miamidade.gov. It has also come to note that the website is not a reliable source as it was last updated in 2010.

Edits Conducted[edit]

Earthquakes Section[edit]

This section is now a table.

Hurricanes Section[edit]

Apart from it now being a table, I have removed and modified a few items:

-2000 Flood now moved to a newly created section called Other Events.

-Ike Event: The location has been changed to the Gulf Coast.

-Harvey and Irma events are swapped to maintain alphabetical order.

-Dorian Event: Location reduced to just Bahamas as there was the most hit.

-2020 Event: This seems to had been a duplicate. This might had been Hurricane Isaias but a reliable source is needed to confirm that.

Building Explosions Section[edit]

The Building explosions and building collapses sections has been combined. This section is also now a table with the appropriate events (not just the city).

Airplane Crashes Section[edit]

This section has been renamed to Aviation Disasters and made into a table.

Communications Support Section[edit]

This section is now a table with the appropriate events (not just the city).

Building Collapse Section[edit]

This section has been merged with the Building Explosions Section.

Other Events Section[edit]

This is a newly created section to accommodate any events not related with any above. If lets say another similar event happened like another flood for example, than we can create a new section called Floods section. if not, than it stays here. Xp4eternity (talk) 02:23, 10 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
