Dates[edit]

This article is about the United States Senate inquiry into the sinking of the Titanic. Therefore, shouldn't all of the dates in the article be listed in American format, as opposed to British format (i.e., April 15, 1912, versus 15 April 1912) ...? Thanks. Joseph A. Spadaro (talk) 20:56, 24 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have no objection. When starting articles, I write in the date format which I'm used to writing in (Day Month Year), so that's why it started out that way. I don't switch and change spelling depending on what I'm writing about, so I don't for dates either. And I'd likely forget half the time as well. You might, however, want to check first with those who edit Titanic-related articles more often than I do, and the other editor (User:Prioryman) who expanded this article after it was started.
