United Democratic AllianceUnited Democratic Alliance (Liberia) – Clearly not the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC, YttriumShrew (talk) 21:08, 1 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Strong support the Kenya one gets way more views (1,900) than the Liberia one (188) and the Zambia one gets 114, the Uttar Pradesh one gets 53 and the Nagaland one gets 16[[1]]. Crouch, Swale (talk) 08:16, 2 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@YttriumShrew and Crouch, Swale: Neither of you have said so, but are you implying that you want United Democratic Alliance (Kenya) moved to United Democratic Alliance? Or that we create a disambiguation page there? We should WP:RM#Request all associated moves explicitly. 85.67.32.244 (talk) 13:05, 2 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The DAB would be 1st choice but if anything the Kenya one is primary. Crouch, Swale (talk) 13:06, 2 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Support move to United Democratic Alliance (Liberia), and move United Democratic Alliance (Kenya) to United Democratic Alliance. The Nagaland one has picked up pageviews and is now the second-most viewed, but the Kenya one still has above 75% of the total pageviews. -MPGuy2824 (talk) 03:30, 5 October 2021 (UTC) With the addition of Malaysian United Democratic Alliance to this list, it now gets the most page views, but less than 50% of the total page views. If none of these articles is going to judged to be a primary topic, then we might as well convert United Democratic Alliance into the disambiguation page. -MPGuy2824 (talk) 03:22, 6 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I support the existence of a disambiguation page at United Democratic Alliance (and thus not moving the Kenya article). Here are my reasons:
It is clear we must have a disambiguation page, as the hatnotes are getting silly. We must determine if there is a primary topic or not, to decide where to put it. There are two general criteria for this (as listed on the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC page), namely interest and notability.
On the first criterion, interest: The Kenyan article leads pageview counts and has done so fairly consistently for a while, save for a brief period following Hichilema's election where the Zambian one was in the lead. Recently the Nagaland article has been giving it a run for its money, but as it's a new article it's hard to know how long this will last. I think if the Nagaland one's viewcount drops off, the Kenyan article would meet this criterion, but for now I don't think it does.
On the second, I would say that either the Zambia or Nagaland groups are the most notable, as the others are all minor parties. The Kenyan group, on the other hand, is a relatively new minor party. It's also worth noting the Nagaland one is the only one that isn't a stub (although the Kenyan article could do with an expansion). YttriumShrew (talk) 10:18, 5 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
There's also the Malaysian United Democratic Alliance, which gets more views than the Kenyan article and is (in my opinion) more notable. YttriumShrew (talk) 02:12, 6 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
