Sources section[edit]

It should be noted that there is no way that all of the books etc listed in the source section were used in the creation of this article. However, since many of them were added by IPs several years ago I would not hazard a guess at which ones should be removed. Very POV[edit]

This article is very POV in favour of the Chetniks: "Mihailovich and the Royalists were about to be abandoned and betrayed by the British government in favor of the Communist and Stalinist leader Josip Broz Tito at the time. Speaking in the British Parliament on February 22, 1944, the then Prime Minister, Winston Churchill, said: “General Mihailovic, I much regret to say, drifted gradually into position where his commanders made accommodations with Italian and German troops…”"

While the fact that the film was changed to reflect the British altered position is interesting, to claim that the British "betrayed" them is very POV. After all, while Mihailovich's guilt of collaboration is still being debated and contested, it is a fact that it wasn't just a handful of the Chetniks who collaborated with Germany and Italy, but a majority of them. However, there are a number of Serbian nationalists who have been trying to rewrite history since the Yugoslav civil war, when several Serbian paramilitary groups, working for Slobodan Milošević and dreaming of Greater Serbia, began to call themselves Chetniks and committed numerous atrocities against Muslims, just like the original Chetniks had done. This is an example of such attempts, done by several anonymous contributors.

So, the article is in need of a rewrite and a NPOV. It would also benefit from some inline references instead of the massive list of pro-Chetnik books and papers listed as sources, of which most have nothing to do with the film. Thomas Blomberg (talk) 15:53, 4 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
