Poverty (HIV in Uganda)[edit]

As a result, young women tend to have older and more sexually experienced partners and this puts women at a disproportionate risk of getting affected by HIV, accounting for about 57 per cent of all adults living with HIV in Uganda.[124] → The figure in this sentence is gravely wrong. From the original reference, it is 5.7 per cent, not 57 per cent.

Unit?[edit]

at the end of the science and technology section is the figure "US$70". Based on the context, I'm guessing the correct number is 70 million ManlyMatt (talk) 11:13, 11 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Semi-protected edit request on 20 February 2024[edit]

I would like to add an update image of Uganda as an orthrographic projection, the file name is Uganda_(orthrographic_projection).png in WikiCommons Hlticgh (talk) 15:18, 20 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Question: Do you want this image to replace the map in the infobox? If so, why?

Not done for now: Nor response from the IP. Reopen if required when replying. The Herald (Benison) (talk) 08:10, 5 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Opps[edit]

@Moxy:, Don't know how this happened, but I certainly did not intend for a mass deletion to occur. I attempted to add a relief map of Uganda, and, for the life of me, when I saved it...poof !  Apologies. Are you okay with restoring the map I had added?-- it's a great high quality map, issued by the US Gov, 2005. -- Gwillhickers (talk) 02:43, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Country articles dont have images outside the infobox because it intrudes into the first section of the article... as country infoboxes are already to big. Moxy🍁 03:18, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I sort of had the same concern. I'll find another location for this map i.e.under Geography. All the maps for this article are thematic...not one general map to define topography, including lakes and rivers, in relation to major cities and towns. -- Gwillhickers (talk) 19:39, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Pronunciation?[edit]

Is it pronounced OO-ganda or YU-ganda? Muzilon (talk) 22:45, 18 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
