Over the past couple of days people have been adding this fight as an officially confirmed fight on this article. The source typically used is the MMA Junkie article where Dana says he's trying to get the Belfort/Silva fight set up.

However, this source DOES NOT state that the fight is officially booked, nor does it have enough information to say it's officially rumored. Dana admits that Wanderlei is holding out to fight Chris Leben (via his twitter account) and that Vitor verbally agreed to fight Silva but that's as far as this fight has gotten up to until this point.

On top of all of this, there is no indication that the fight would take place on this card. Please stop adding this fight to the article until any of the three are true:

A) We have confirmation Silva OR Belfort will be fighting on this card.
B) We have a verbal agreement from Silva (sourced of course) that he wants to fight Belfort and not Leben.
C) We have confirmation from Dana White that these two are fighting on this card

Please stop sourcing that MMA Junkie article as proof of Silva/Belfort happening on this card because it simply does not say that. Please read the entire article and not just the title of the article and assuming things. Dachknanddarice (T‖C) 17:18, 25 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Urijah Faber vs. Dominick Cruz[edit]

Are twitter accounts (confirmed real or not) even legitimate sources? I thought blogs, facebook, and twitter were all under the same umbrella and therefore unable to be used as legit sources? Not totally sure on the Wiki terms of usage, considering that Twitter has been an accepted source for when the UFC has announced Facebook prelims. I guarantee you that in five minutes, a respected MMA news site will have it up and I'll change the source then. Until then, the Twitter is just a temporary source so that it doesn't look like some uninformed goof has added it because they heard a rumour. GavinBrash talk 21:50, 26 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Fair enough. I won't worry about it and I've no reason to assume any bad faith on your end. If that twitter posting is true, then you are right and it will be officially announced via Sherdog or MMA Junkie. For what it's worth, I was able to find this in regards to Twitter as a source. boogers vs. Godzilla[edit]

I dont watch UFC often but I when I heard Mayhem was returning I went to this page so see what other fights were going on. When I looked at this page I saw in the Main Event matches it says for the Lightweight bout it is boogers (USA) vs. Godzilla (USA). Njokuani vs Winner[edit]

Anthony Njokuani vs Andre Winner has been listed on this site as one of the preliminary bouts for some time now. I'm pretty sure I had seen them announce the bout on UFC.com a while back, but it has not been added on the official fight card and needs to be edited. Solid matchup, though. Adding fight results before the fight happens[edit]

I know some people are just bored, but adding the results to fights that have not happened is stupid and a waste of time.
