Axel's Past[edit]

I specifically remember in the game that his bio said his dad put him in the contraption, yet it says here that he is searching for the man that put him there. Does that just mean he's looking for his Dad and he thinks Calypso can help? Or is it an error stating that he is trying to find out who did it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.241.168.253 (talkcontribs) 01:31, August 15, 2007

End Movies[edit]

I think that a spoiler warning should be put before the End Movies section. Oddmartian2 16:18, 30 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The page Template:Spoiler states the following about using spoiler warnings: "Use this template sparingly. It should not be used in sections that are clearly marked with a heading (such as "Plot" or "Ending") that already indicates that information about the plot or the ending might follow." · Tygartl1·talk· 13:46, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Twisted Metal 2 Axel.jpg[edit]

Image:Twisted Metal 2 Axel.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Official Twisted Metal 2 comic *SPOILERS!*[edit]

It was released in very limited quantity, it explains Calypso's backstory, including his sister mentioned in Minion's ending. It is official Twisted Metal canon. It was Liscensed by Sony, published by DC

  • As a teenager, Calypso was obsessed with roadkill. One day he was in the driveway with his sister, when he spotted a snake. He climbed in his parent's car so he could run it over, but he didn't realize his sister was behind the car, and ran her over.
  • Because of the constant guilt trip, he caused his parents to crash their car, killing them in an accident that claimed a few other vehicles. Calypso survived.
  • Calypso became a demolition derby mechanic. His rythmatic beating led his boss to shoot him in the arm saying "Hammer that metal in American. No damn Calypso!"
  • His boss later apologised, and promoted him to driver in the demolition derby, his car had "Calypso" on the side.
  • He spent most of his life trying to die, sincce he killed his sister. It was always someone else that died.
  • He eventually met a woman, and had a daughter, Krista, with her. His womanizing led to a strained relationship, as he didn't really care about life, except his daughter Krista. Her mother was in the audience at a demolition derby, when one of the wheels flew into the stand, taking half her head.
  • He taught Krista how to drive at a young age, because of his lifestyle, he'd need a ride home drunk.
  • One night, he was driving with Krista in the back seat, he was visited by the spirit of his wife, and then decided to try to end it again by driving into a brick wall, and Krista woke up at the last second.
  • When he woke up, he was in Hell being confronted by Minion, who said "You try to get away, I chase you. I catch you. Then you get to dangle from my rearview mirror for a few hundred thousand years, till I'm done torturing ya."
  • Calypso ran like Hell, however, Minion drove off the cliff into an apparently bottomless pit. Calypso crossed the finish line, and met Satan, who says he's a big fan of demolition derbys.
  • Satan gave Calypso a red drink, similar to the one Calypso gave Yellow Jacket in his lost TM1 ending vid.
  • Now immortal, Calypso was charged with gathering the souls of the best demolition drivers on Earth, because their victims' skills are boring the Hell audiences. All the destruction, carnage, and mayhem on Earth is just added entertainment.
  • Thus, Calypso created the ultimate Demolition Derby. Twisted Metal.
  • The last panel shows Calypso's blimp above New York, with one of the old World Trade Center "Twin Towers" knocked over.
