Vlašić etymology[edit]

Bosnian geographic toponyms were often named after Slavic deities, and in mythology Veles has a son, Velesić, after which the village of Velešići near the Sarajevo were named, and it is also widely speculated by scholars that the mountains Velež and Vlašić were actually named after the deity and his son respectively (i.e. that the original pronunciation "Velešić" has transformed into Vlašić). I would simply remove the offending part that makes it appear that the link to Vlachs is undisputed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 5.43.114.13 (talk) 06:55, 19 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
