decorative sacristy doors[edit]

@Dublin8david: can you explain why a set of "decorative sacristy doors" is relevant for an article about a town? Their is a short mention about the church, why the elaborate reference to the doors? The Banner talk 21:12, 8 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I get the eery feeling that you are promoting his work all over Wikipedia. The Banner talk 21:15, 8 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, the reason I included the information is because Michael Healy is one of the four main artists of the internationally regarded Irish Stained Glass movement (Harry Clarke, Wilhelmina Geddes and Evie Hone being the others). He is represented by five windows in a new room dedicated to stained glass in the National Gallery of Ireland. Although I readily admit these decorative glazed panels do not constitute a major work by him (and I have no objection of you want to remove it), I think it is important for local churches, and communities etc., to be aware that they may have items of artistic significance that may otherwise be overlooked. Are you working for the National Gallery of Ireland? The Banner talk 21:49, 8 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
And is it not a better idea to inform the local parish directly about the artwork instead trying to reach them through Wikipedia? The Banner talk 21:55, 8 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Glad to see it is referenced now. I'm happy to see editors like Dublin8david contributing in a field that they know alot about. It's good to know that Tralee has a work by Michael Healy. One short sentence in this article is hardly promoting. I'm mystified by User:The Banner hostile comments. Spleodrach (talk) 18:49, 9 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
See his other edits... The Banner talk 20:22, 9 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I don't see an issue but if you do then bring it to WT:IE. Spleodrach (talk) 20:39, 9 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I ask first... he might not be known with WP:COI. The Banner talk 21:02, 9 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
What CoI is that? Spleodrach (talk) 21:22, 9 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
