Is any kind of soba served on New Year's Eve toshikoshi soba? Are there soba recipes associated to this specific date? --Error (talk) 16:41, 29 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

In conclusion, it is difficult to generalize as there are regional and family differences. It is sometimes eaten with herring, grated daikon radish, eggs, tempura, kamaboko, etc., sometimes without anything, or as zaru soba. However, the appearance of shrimp is considered a sign of longevity and good fortune, and people often eat shrimp to pray for good health in the coming year.ジョンドウ (talk) 14:12, 21 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
